The project ”Psychological and spiritual support to veterans treated for PTSD” Workshops were held ”Stress and Recovery, What can I”, self-help program for Croatian war veterans suffering from PTSD. Workshops are organized for Croatian war veterans treated for PTSD with a view understanding of stress, anger and PTSD, their occurrence and consequences and mastering the techniques and methods of self-help and self-regulation in daily life. So far the workshops held in Varazdin 27.06. and Križevci 08.07. led by Prof.. Zoran Komar. Through the workshop, participants were able to learn: What are traumatic stress and how we react to them, When and why anger occurs, how to deal with stress and anger, how to live with PTSD, the ways in which we can regulate our own mental and physical state, ways psychophysical relaxation, to regulate the internal tension and to develop positive thinking as a way to decrease the traumatic consequences. Workshops are conducted in one day at a time of 4-6 hours with a group of 10-15 participants in the space provided by the members of our association in places where the workshop took place.
