Visit to Sarajevo

Pilgrimage to Medjugorje

The traditional pilgrimage to Medjugorje veterans treated with PTSD and their families were held from their families 08. do 10. November 2024. The. Accommodation for participants was organized in Metkovic and was also funded by the community, and thanks to the financial resources provided through the program funded by the Ministry of Croatian Veterans Affairs. Memorial Chess Tournament “Zaprešić 2024.”

20. Sports competition ZUHBL PTSP RH

The traditional sports competition of Community members was held in Vodice, in Hotel Imperial from 04. – 06. November 2024. The. It took part in the competition 175 members from 13 member association in four shooting disciplines, darts, table tennis and chess. Transportation is provided for all participants from the destination of their local association to the hotel, as well as accommodation with meals during the competition. During three days, a meeting of the presidency was held in the Zlarin hall of the Imperial Hotel, and a workshop on the topic was held in the Okit hall“Physical activity for the elderly” held by Mr. Mario Sačer and training on the topic of "Finance in civil society organizations" held by employee Mrs. Marija Čatalinac. A chess and table tennis competition was organized in the Imperial Hotel, while an archery competition was held in the Mocire Hall in Zadar., and darts in Čista Velika, in the cafe bar Dispet. According to the results achieved in the individual disciplines, the Association of Croatian veterans treated for post-traumatic stress disorder of the Zagreb County won the portable cup as the overall winner of the competition this year.. On the occasion of the anniversary 20. anniversaries of the competition, ZUHBL PTSP RH, as the organizer, decided to create and distribute commemorative medals as a memento for the participation of all competitors. It was a nice surprise for everyone involved and the competitors were proud to receive their medals.

marking 81. anniversary of the martyrdom of Croats in Villefranche de Rouergue

With the aim of honoring the Croats who died in World War II. during World War II in France, as a result of anti-fascism protests, representatives of the associations traveled to Villefranche de Rouergue and were part of the protocol marking the uprising and the suffering of Croats at the hands of the Nazis. The ceremony was held in the afternoon 17. September. Representatives from Croatia, including representatives from the Croatian Embassy, they gathered at the monument erected by the French authorities in memory of those killed by the fascist occupier. Introductory conference on the project Social inclusion and support for the elderly and people with disabilities (Code number: SF.3.4.11.01.0317) was held in Zabok 2. May. Remembrance of the massacre in Borovo Selo

A representative of the community participated in the celebration 33. the anniversary of the massacre in Borovo Selo 1991. the year when 12 Croatian police officers from the Vinkovci Special Police Unit were killed by Serbian paramilitary units. It was the first collective sacrifice on the way to the creation of a free and independent Croatian state.
