Knowledge centers for social development acting as a sort ofthink-do-tank organizations carrying out the following activities in its area of operation:
- research and policy analysis in the field of action,
- transfer of specific knowledge in the Republic of Croatia and the countries of Southeast Europe,
- development of social resources and
- advocacy positive social change.
Knowledge centers for social development are forms of development cooperation with the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, which includes civil society organizations that have demonstrated quality and distinctiveness of its activities through institutional, organizational and program development, a high level of networking in its area of operation and / or the involvement of volunteers and citizens / citizens in their actions, expertise through conducted research and quality models of knowledge transfer in the Republic of Croatia and through international development assistance. The National Foundation is the process of selecting organizations that meet the conditions described implemented through call for proposals for the establishment of the development of cooperation in the field of knowledge centers for social development in the Republic of Croatia.
The program centers of knowledge is agreed on at least three (3), a maximum of five (5) years with the possibility of extension of development cooperation in this area after a conducted initial evaluation of the impact of the organizations involved in the social development of the Croatian.
Organizations with the National Foundation concluded agreements on development cooperation in the field of knowledge centers for social development can not be eligible for any other type of financial support of the National Foundation.
