Shooting competition and air-soft meeting for Croatian veterans and their family members

In Hrvace near Sinj 1. was held in August archery competition and air-soft meeting for Croatian veterans and their family members, organized by the association and in cooperation with the local branch of UHBL PTSP Split-Dalmatia County.
The activity was held on the occasion 31. anniversaries of the military police operation Summer 95, which took place from 25. do 30. July 1995. The. By gathering the veterans and their families, we wanted to mark this important operation in a dignified way and preserve the memory of the Croatian veterans who participated in it., with special reverence for those who gave their lives during the operation. The program included a competition in air rifle and archery, as well as an air-soft meeting. Necessary equipment and sports props were provided for all participants, and the activities were carried out according to a pre-prepared program and in compliance with safety rules.
In addition to the sports and recreational part, a special place was the gathering of veterans, members of their families and other participants. Through socializing and talking, we remembered the war days, shared experiences and Croatian veterans who are no longer with us. An appropriate snack is provided for all participants and attendees, which completed the all-day program of marking. By holding this activity, it is worthily marked 31. anniversary of Operation Summer 95, with an emphasis on togetherness, socializing and preserving the culture of remembrance of the Homeland War and the sacrifice of Croatian veterans.

Cavalry parade “One is Croatia”

Organized by ZUHBL PTSP RH, 24. May 2026. In 2008, a cavalry parade was held with the banners of the Guard units, special police and associations resulting from the Homeland War.
Twelve horsemen set off from Hrvac towards the church of St. Salvation in the village of Cetina near Vrlica, where they paid tribute to the Croatian veterans by passing the route of the procession for the Homeland and for all the Croatian veterans who died and died.
Mr. Damir Gabrić was riding in a ceremonial carriage decorated with flags as a guest, Head of the Administrative Department for Croatian Veterans, civil protection and human rights of Split-Dalmatia County.
The church of St. was chosen as a symbolic destination. Salvation, the oldest preserved Catholic church in Croatia and a symbol of the survival of the Croatian people in these areas.

ZUHBL PTSP RH Open Days were held

In the premises of the association at S. Benceković 46 in Zagreb, 11. i 12. June 2026. Open Door Days were held in, Organized by Croatian Veterans' Associations treated with PTSD.
The days of open doors gathered Croatian veterans, members of their families, representatives of associations and interested citizens, who were given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the work, programs, projects and activities aimed at providing support to Croatian veterans and their family members.
On the first day, 11. June, UHBL PTSP Sisak-Moslavina County presented its work. The visitors got acquainted with their previous activities, projects and programs and the ways in which the association provides support to its members and their families.
On the second day, 12. June, the work of the Association of Associations of Croatian Veterans Treated for PTSD of the Republic of Croatia was presented (ZUHBL PTSP RH). On that occasion, the aims and activities of the Community were presented, programs and activities carried out, as well as the possibilities of involvement in work and future activities.
The open days were spent in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, with socializing, exchange of experiences and discussion of issues important to Croatian veterans and their families. Holding such meetings once again showed the importance of togetherness, mutual support and open communication and represents a valuable contribution to further connecting veterans' associations and the community.

The representative of ZUHBL PTSP of the Republic of Croatia participated in the anniversary celebration in Okučani

The representative of the ZUHBL PTSP of the Republic of Croatia participated in the commemoration of the anniversary of the military police operation Bljesak, which was held in Okučani. The commemoration was organized on the occasion of the anniversary of the military police operation "Flash"., one of the key liberation operations from the Homeland War, which it is 1. i 2. May 1995. Western Slavonia was liberated in 1990 and supervision over important traffic routes of the Republic of Croatia was established.
Croatian veterans gathered at the central ceremony, family members of dead and missing Croatian veterans, representatives of veterans associations, the top of the state, local governments and numerous citizens to pay their respects to all those who died, to the missing and deceased Croatian veterans who took part in the operation "Bljesak". As part of the commemoration, wreaths and lit candles were laid at the "Crystal Cube of Serenity" memorial., after which an appropriate program and holy mass was held for all fallen Croatian veterans.
By participating in the celebration of this significant anniversary, ZUHBL PTSP of the Republic of Croatia continues to preserve the memory of the heroic days of the Homeland War and to promote the values ​​of community, patriotism and respect for Croatian veterans and their sacrifice for the freedom of the Republic of Croatia.

XXI. Sports games of defenders of Međimurje County

On the occasion of the celebration of VRO Bljesak, XXI was held at the Sports and Recreation Center in Gornji Kursanac. Sports games of veterans of Međimurje County organized by UHBDRL-PTSP MŽ.
Competitors showed their skills in various disciplines: Chess, electronic darts, Shooting (air rifle and pistol), hanging bowling alley and fishing with a hook on a float.
The ceremonial opening of the games was organized by a delegation from the Ministry of Croatian Veterans, Mrs. Manuela Šmit Vuk. The total number of participants participated in the games 146 Competitors, and the most successful ones were awarded medals for their excellent results and sportsmanship.
After the official part and awarding of awards, the socializing of veterans and their families continued in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere with a joint lunch and a whole day of socializing filled with togetherness and beautiful memories.

XXI. gastronomic and sports competition in cooking fish in Križevci

As part of the celebration of the Day of the City of Križevci, the XXI. gastronomic and sports competition in fish cooking, which again this year gathered numerous participants from different parts of Croatia. The event took place as a sign of unity, good food, sports and pleasant socializing. The program began with paying tribute to the fallen veterans with a minute of silence and laying wreaths and lighting candles at the "Pride of veterans - in the sign of the cross" monument.. Eight associations participated in the fish cooking competition, which was held in the center of Križevci, and while the contestants were cooking, a meeting of the Presidency of ZUHBL PTSP of the Republic of Croatia was held in the premises of the association.
The four judges in charge of the evaluation declared them the best:
1. place: UHBO PTSD of Karlovac County; 2. place: UHBL PTSD Zagreb County; 3. place: UHBL PTSP of Koprivnica-Križeva County – Sv. Marko Križevčanin
The socializing continued at Lake Bajer with a joint lunch, after which a fishing competition was held - catching fish on a float.

Marked 35. the anniversary of the beginning of the Homeland War in Pakrac

Representatives of the Association of Associations of Croatian Veterans Treated for PTSD of the Republic of Croatia took part in the ceremonial commemoration in Pakrac 35. anniversary of the beginning of the Homeland War, one of the key events in recent Croatian history. The commemoration program began with a tribute to the fallen, missing and deceased Croatian veterans, with the laying of wreaths and the lighting of candles. In a dignified atmosphere, those present remembered the courage and determination of the Croatian veterans who, in the most difficult moments, stood in defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Croatia. By participating in this important anniversary, the representatives of the Community once again confirmed their permanent respect for the sacrifice of the veterans and the importance of preserving the truth about the Homeland War.. The need to convey the value of community was especially emphasized, patriotism and solidarity to younger generations, in order to preserve the dignity of those who made the greatest sacrifice for the freedom of Croatia. In its activities, the community continuously promotes the culture of memory, mutual support and care for Croatian veterans, especially those facing the consequences of participating in war. Participation in commemorations like this is part of the permanent obligation to preserve the historical truth and express gratitude to all those who participated in the creation of an independent and independent Republic of Croatia..

Electoral assembly of the Association of Associations of Croatian veterans treated for post-traumatic stress disorder of the Republic of Croatia

Dana 13. February 2026. The Electoral Assembly of the Association of Associations of Croatian Veterans Treated for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder of the Republic of Croatia was held, which was attended by representatives of member county associations from all parts of the Republic of Croatia.
By unanimous decision of all delegates present, for a new mandate lasting four years, Mr. was elected president. Tihomir Trešćec, which confirmed confidence in his previous work and leadership. Mr. was re-elected as the general secretary. Ivica Turić.
The newly elected leadership thanked the delegates for their trust and stressed that they will continue to work hard to protect the rights and promote the interests of Croatian veterans suffering from PTSD., as well as strengthening cooperation with competent institutions and related associations. ZUHBL PTSP of the Republic of Croatia continues its activities with the aim of improving the quality of life of its members and preserving the dignity and value of the Homeland War.

From vision to change 2030

Representatives of our association attended the conference of the National Foundation for the Development of Civil Society “From vision to change” in Zadar!
We are glad that we had the opportunity to be part of this inspiring event that brought together experts, organizations and enthusiasts dedicated to community development and creating positive change.
Our members participated in the lectures, workshops and exchange of experiences, and we returned home full of new ideas, contacts and motivation for further work. We thank the National Foundation for the Development of Civil Society for the excellent conference and look forward to future meetings and collaborations!

Psychological workshops for members of local associations

During October, In November and December, three workshops were held to provide psychosocial support to Croatian veterans treated for PTSD and their family members.. The workshops were led by a long-time colleague dr. Elvira Koić, and were aimed at strengthening the understanding of the psychological and physical consequences of trauma and at developing personal capacities for recovery.
Through workshops under the names "PTSD, dementia and cardiomyopathy", "PTSD and retraumatization" and "How to start post-traumatic growth" participants were introduced to the interrelationship between mental and physical health, the mechanisms of reliving the trauma and the possibilities of personal growth after traumatic experiences. Special emphasis is placed on the recognition of symptoms, strengthening resistance, the importance of family support and encouraging active involvement in the recovery process.
The workshops were conducted in a stimulating and safe environment, with the active participation of students, exchange of experiences and practical advice, and the participants expressed their satisfaction with the content and useful information obtained.
